You can quiet anxiety, heal from trauma and bring connection to your life

There is never enough time in the day and the days fly by just like your racing thoughts.  You put yourself last and feel like anxiety and concerns about your relationships are taking over your life.  I see you, and know that together we can bring perspective back- allowing space for happiness, confidence and inspiration.

I work with women who need a safe and compassionate space to fully process what they are experiencing. As a trauma therapist, I take a trauma informed approach to working with every client.  This benefits you whether or not you are coming to see me for help related to trauma.

A Trauma Informed Approach

A trauma informed approach means that it is incredibly important to me that you feel safe during sessions, we are working collaboratively as a team, that you are empowered to use your voice and you know that I value your unique story.

How often are you asked what you need? I’m guessing it’s seldom. Sessions with me are all about YOU.   I am interested in what you need from the session and how I can help you process what you are experiencing. Rest assured that I will help guide the session in a direction that aligns with your goals and share my knowledge as well as give you tips and tools that could be helpful in our work together.

EMDR sessions tend to be more structured, however, you are always in control of if and when you would like to use EMDR. Either way, you will feel relief after your session.

Therapy is a safe place for you to be authentically you

I’m here to walk beside you and serve as a supportive sounding board while helping you explore what is really going on. I’ve helped people deal with anxiety, trauma and relationship concerns ranging from general worry and depression about a number of things, to dealing with abusive spouses or family members who have substance use problems.

At the end of the day the common theme is that people need a supportive, safe, affirming place to work on managing their stress, process experiences and explore different patterns at play in their lives. That is what I offer day in and day out.

Sessions do not always look the same, that’s the awesome part of therapy!  One week we might talk about what really made you mad since our last session, while another week we might be using EMDR to reprocess something from the past.  You can trust that I’ll be by your side for every step of your journey.

  • Therapy with me IS

Real- You don’t need a stuffy therapist who gives canned responses. Let’s laugh at the funny parts of life and connect over the difficult parts. Either way, we will figure it out together.

Open and Honest- Let’s talk about how you feel honestly. No judgment! You are the expert in your life and I’m here to help while respecting your expertise.

Engaging-Let’s look at what is bringing you in from all angles and in a way that feels right to you. No psychobabble here!

  • Therapy with me IS NOT

Stuffy- Let’s get honest and real about what is going on and how we can make a change.

Feeling as though there are Right and Wrong answers- No one wants to feel like their therapist is a know-it-all. Therapy should not force you into feeling more anxious and unsure of yourself.

Boring- Your therapy session is just that- YOURS! Let’s talk about what is at the forefront of your world and get to the bottom of it.
